Ode to Summer Rain

O Rain, I love every time when you pour down from the sky,
You take my joy and aspirations so high.
I admire the way you soak the muddy ground,
Sprouting grass makes the earth look, as if it is crowned.

Don't stop!! Go on pouring
Until the stormy clouds get worn-out by roaring.
Be the hope to those who are blue
Let summer and winter get jealous of you!

Happiness is when, you come the time we least expect you
Despair is when, the people fail to admire you
Your sound is like music to my ears
Fulfilment of thirst; remained unfulfilled for years.

Waiting for your arrival so long
Because you are the one to whom my heart and soul belong.
Don't play hide and seek; stop being so mischievous
Descend and Embrace me; I'm all yours...

• An Ode is a poem that is written for an occasion or on a particular subject. It is an elaborately structured poem praising or glorifying an event or individual, describing nature etc and in this poem the Summer Rain is praised.

• Summer rain refers to the rain which comes late (The Spring supposed to bring the rain) so everyone is waiting for it, and when it arrives it is highly desirable. It is a great compliment to be compared to a summer rain.
